This sounds a lot like what I wrote a while back based on price issues. Complaining when you get mana screwed can be kind of rude, but complaining about the design decisions is perfectly rational.

Great idea for a column!

White is on of my favourite colours so I would never want to see it go but most of your attributions make sense.

You missined one thing out though, weenie armies! White has always been famous for its 1 or 2 mana creatures that end up getting bigger and better.

Probably this would go to red, they have soldiers too after all!

Personally, I think you should just choose 50 cards to eliminate from the deck and find an appropriate general for EDH and make it a new EDH deck. Sure, it won't be the same, but at least you don't have to disassemble it.

To use a metaphor, it will be like meeting a childhood friend again but finding out they're much nicer and fun to be around than you remember. Sometimes change is good, ya know?

Other than for flavor, the best use of Mythics I've noticed is further pushing cards out of a Limited pool that are either better played in other environments or too game breaking for Limited. Lotus Cobra has a lot of potential in Constructed, but in limited its generally a chump blocker.

Mythic status doesn't mean these cards are hard to get, it just returns some cards back to the scarcity all rares had in the larger sets of old (pre-2003) and increases the frequency of the janky bombs of limited (World Queller!) -- or at least in my perfect view of the world, this would be truth.

I got to the bit about "What does Teferri look like" and just started howling... absolutely hilarious right up! Bravo! SL just happens to be one of my favorite actors as well, most due to that very scene in Pulp Fiction. A classic. :)
